Life held me high today,
Fully content, my world and place
Assured. Joy breaths through my deeds,
I know my heart.
I know his.
Light sings for me, I whirl among the clouds
And puff dandelions on secret,
Hidden journeys along the grass.
I do not feel the ache or pressure of
Life. A deep, abiding gladness is my own.
No dark and twisting grasp for purpose,
No desperate run along thorns of pleasure-
Pain. Come, share with me. Suffering is too common,
The anguish is not novelty. Dispense with grief and despair:
And we, spreading our arms,
Will embrace the world.
